Dentistry is a way to give back to our community and serve others by helping them be healthier and happier. Life is complicated, and that can make it difficult for people to find balance and have a healthy lifestyle.
I thrive when working closely with patients, sharing the common goal of improving their oral and overall health and increasing their quality of life. I love being able to relate to each and every single patient, on a personal level, and build connections with them. We learn from each other and grow together.
I believe dentistry is an act of goodness: if I do well, then my patients feel better and are happier, which then spreads through our community. I want people to love each other and help those around them. This is my way of making our world a better, happier place for all.
Education and Experience
My Doctorate of Dental Surgery was awarded by the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Since graduation, I’ve furthered my education through multiple postgraduate courses.
Dentistry is constantly evolving, so it offers practitioners new technologies and techniques that can improve patient care and outcome. Through continuing education, I stay abreast of the developments and assess their strengths and weaknesses. The “latest” is not always the “greatest,” so it’s important for me evaluate options and bring only the best into our practice.
I’ve been practicing dentistry for more than ten years and have always focused on working with children. I know that providing kids with positive early dental experiences helps them grow up with a healthy smile and an interest in caring for it!

At Smile Rite Dental, we’ve brought together wonderful, caring individuals who make patient comfort a priority. They show up to work every morning with smiles: motivated and ready to make a difference in our community through gentle dental care!
Trust is a core value at Smile Rite Dental: we believe it’s our responsibility to provide ethical, patient-centered care in order to build and maintain trust with our patient family.
Beyond the Practice
I was born and raised in New Orleans and attended dental school in Louisiana. Since 2004 I’ve called Houston home, and share my life with my beautiful and caring wife Oanh. We have a young son, Hunter, and are expecting daughter Harper to join us in November 2017!
Outside of work, my favorite times are spent with friends and family. I also enjoy traveling to new-to-me places and exploring and learning about diverse cultures, people, and food!
